London Borough of Hillingdon
It doesn't matter who you are, without clear and appropriate signage your customers are unlikely to find you. After updating their branding, the London Borough of Hillingdon took the decision to roll out their new look across all their signage and asked Signarama Hillingdon to take charge of the project.
Signarama Hillingdon's brief for the ongoing project has involved replacing all the London Borough of Hillingdon's internal and external signage. The new branding is a green wave on a white background and incorporates the London Borough of Hillingdon's crest. To ensure they understood the Borough's full signage requirements, Neill McAdam and the team at Signarama under took a full survey of the Borough's existing signage.
One of the first times the new branding was used was on the sign announcing the development of the new Hillingdon Sports and Leisure Centre, due for completion this autumn. The sign is 5000mm by 3500mm and is constructed of 3mm aluminium panels manufactured by Ashby Trade Supplies, due to its size the sign had to be installed using 160mm by 6000mm steel poles. As the sign featured a digital print of the scaled model of the proposed development Signarama employed the services of a professional photographer to take the picture used in the sign.
For Uxbridge Library Signarama used a 3mm aluminium tray from Ashby Trade Supplies. To allow the sensor on the automatic door to operate, the sign across the front of the building was manufactured in two pieces. The two illuminated hanging signs were in good working order so Signarama reused the existing illumination and simply installed new aluminium panels.
The signage for the Civic Centre included external signage in the car park and at the entrance using 3mm aluminium tray. In addition to the aluminium sign detailing the opening times, the Borough's name was spelt out over the main entrance using acrylic lettering with a digital print applied to face . To create the London Borough of Hillingdon's crest Signarama also used flat cut acrylic. Due to its size the internal sign in the reception foyer (measuring 7500mm by 1300mm) had to be manufactured in 3 sections To ensure that public access was not restricted the signs in both these areas were installed out of hours.
Signarama is the world's largest sign franchise with 900 locations in 50 countries and is a full service company designed to handled the signage and branding for any size company worldwide
